Artist's Comments

Yesterday, I finished Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Now I wouldn't consider myself a big sci-fi fan (or anything remotely close) but omfg, this book was amazing. It just had such an enthralling plot, complex yet believable characters, and intense descriptions of things like the Battle Room. I cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel.

So anyway, about the piece. I'm going to go ahead and apologize now, because I can't draw children nor guns. (Which aren't usually combined, so typically I don't have this much of a problem but...) Ender doesn't really look eleven. Sorry about that. Even Peter looks a bit old. Oh, and I decided not to ink the line art this time, and I ended up liking the final result much more. During the inking is when I usually end up hating a piece.

Photoshop CS2, about 5 hrs. (Perhaps a bit less)

O_O ZOMG WHAT IS THAT :]?

I love the fact that incorporated a lot of action into such an airy space. It looks awesome. :]

The characters looks fairly young, and there's no mistaking the guns, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. :]

That is really awesome. I finished the book about a couple of months ago and I bought the ender series a couple of days ago.

Let me tell you this: The Wiggins are very interesting. :3 Yes, including Peter <3

Great job--I love the way you drew Peter

The Ender series is perhaps one of Orson's greatest accomplishments, it's even a required read for students in highschool (Ender's Game). My favorite out of the series is Speaker for the Dead. What's great about this series is that you don't need to read the others to understand one, but I've read them all. He's my favorite author. Oh and I like your artwork for this book. You did do a nice job incorporating 'space'.

I started listening to the song and I couldn't stop staring until it was over, heh. Very nice, I love the way you depict Peter, his posture and expression are wonderful.

Eh, they look young enough to me, and the guns aren't bad, stop worrying! Haha.

I just finished the book for the third time and went searching for pics of the characters, he doesn't really describe them often does he? Eh, more left to the imagination, everyone gets to see their own version and no one can tell them they're wrong. *shrug* Anywho, I feel like I'm rambling, so Imma stop now.
